Experience
7+ yrs experience. Professional. Timely. Effective and Friendly. I began peer-tutoring in high school at the suggestion of my Biology teacher. Over the past 7 years, tutoring has become a passion and a joy. There are many students whose needs are not being met by their current environment and being a part of the solution to that gives me pride. Most of the students I work with are in high school, but I have also worked with ages 8 to 42. Across a diverse range, my goal is always to motivate and work towards achievements that help in the long term. This means improving Study Skills, Time Management, Self-Motivation, and finding a way to make learning engaging. Either by keeping a daily planner or programming every reminder into a cellphone, we can find a way to get it done. I have also been contacted by clients looking for help in the College Admissions Process. I am more than happy to consult on this. Every student is different and knowing how to exhibit strengths and experiences on the Common Application can be difficult. Personal Essays, Resume Building, Interview Prep, and application deadlines are all areas that I help with.
